This May 22, Disney + released the first season of an animation series that should appeal to Marvel fans: Marvel Futures Avengers. Produced by Walt Disney Japan and Madhouse, this series, made up of two seasons of 39 episodes of around twenty minutes, is based on the Marvel Comics universe. Broadcast from 2017 to 2018 on the Dlife channel, Marvel Futurs Avengers is now available in France on the Disney + platform.
Marvel Futurs Avengers mixes the universe of Marvel comics and the aesthetics of animes. The series follows the adventures of Makoto, Adi and Chloé, three teenagers raised by HYDRA, the terrorist organization with a fascist ideology (which appears notably in the MCU). These three young people always believed that they were trained and genetically modified in order to become superheroes to fight the Avengers, presented as enemies.
But from their first mission, Makoto, Adi and Chloé realize that they have been manipulated by the organization which has Machiavellian intentions. They then leave HYDRA and meet the Avengers who, faced with the determination and strength of the three teenagers, offer to join their ranks. The Avengers will then train them to actually become superheroes and thwart the plans of HYDRA and the Masters of Evil, in particular the “Emerald Rain Project” …
Among the Avengers who took Makoto, Adi and Chloé under their wings, we find Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America and The Wasp. Marvel Futurs Avengers is also home to other superheroes from the Marvel universe such as Captain Marvel, Hawkeye, Black Widow and The Falcon. Other cult characters from the Marvel universe appearing in the series include the famous Red Skull, Deadpool, Doctor Strange, Black Panther, Loki, Spider-Man and the Winter Soldier. Something to delight Marvel fans in need of cinematic and serial adventures.
