An Infinity Gauntlet in Odin’s palace, Captain America’s shield in Iron Man’s workshop, Howard the Duck among the Avengers… A look back at 14 scenes that deserve a freeze frame in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Hidden details, winks, easter eggs… The Marvel Cinematic Universe is full of little surprises for the most attentive viewers. From Iron Man to Avengers: Endgame to Thor: Ragnarok and Guardians of the Galaxy, here are 14 MCU scenes worth taking a picture of.
In “Iron Man 2″…

What not to miss: A small cameo from Elon Musk, famous founder of Tesla and SpaceX who also largely inspired the character of Tony Stark. After shaking hands with the latter, he says to him: “I also have an electric jet project.” To which Tony responds, “Really?! Well, we’ll fly it!”
In “Ant-Man”…

What not to miss: A section of land where grass hasn’t grown back, top left of the screen, that matches where Thor left Earth using the Bifrost, at the end of Avengers : Age of Ultron. Just after his departure, Tony Stark had also said that “this guy” had “no respect for a lawn.”
In “Black Panther”…

What not to miss: The geographical coordinates which are on the map, and which make it possible to locate the exact position of Wakanda in East Africa. According to these data, the country of Black Panther could thus be located between South Sudan, Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
In “Guardians of the Galaxy”…

What not to miss: The few Marvel characters who hide behind the showcases of the Collector. In addition to this Chitauri warrior (probably a survivor of the first Avengers), we can indeed see Howard the Duck, Cosmo the dog, and a cocoon that looks like two drops of water to that of Adam Warlock.
In “Spider-Man: Homecoming”…

Sony Pictures
What not to miss: The front of the building which is right next to it, and whose window displays the following inscription: “Korean Church of Asgard”. Would Thor and Loki have followers on Earth?
In “Ant-Man and the Wasp”…

What not to miss: Among the many scribbles that appear on the board behind the scientist, we can notice the presence of the word “Matrix”. Funny when you know that Laurence Fishburne, interpreter of Bill Foster, also lent his features to the famous Morpheus.
In “Iron Man 2″…

What not to miss: Behind the characters, a large table representing the map of the world points to different locations that correspond to certain future Avengers: for example, Central Africa for Black PantherGreenland (where Captain America was found frozen), and New Mexico (where Thor landed).
In “Thor”…

What not to miss: An Infinity Gauntlet, seemingly identical to the one Thanos will use to rule the universe in Avengers: Infinity War. However, as Hela (Cate Blanchett) will specify in Thor: Ragnarok, this one is a fake, and has no powers unlike the original. A clever way for the scriptwriters of Marvel to erase this little scriptwriting inconsistency.
In “Avengers”…

What not to miss: Two hair changes on the faces of Thor and Captain America. Normal, given that the sequence was shot well after the rest of the film, following the Californian premiere. We can indeed see that Chris Hemsworth has shaved his beard, and that Chris Evans (who was filming Le Transperceneige at that time), keeps one hand on his face to hide his.
In “Spider-Man: Homecoming”…

Sony Pictures
What not to miss: The photo of Bruce Banner, alias Hulk, on the right of a frieze which brings together the photographs of several prestigious scientists such as Albert Einstein or Isaac Newton.
In “Thor: Ragnarok”

What not to miss: One of the fissures created by Hela’s daggers, which passes just above Thor’s right eye. As if to announce to the most attentive spectators that the god of thunder will find himself one-eyed at the end of the film.
In “Iron Man 3″…

What not to miss: A Christmas stocking in the name of Jarvis (Tony Stark’s virtual butler). Hanging from the fireplace, it features green, red and yellow colors, like Vision’s future costume. Rather logical when you know that the latter (also interpreted by Paul Bettany) will be created in particular from the artificial intelligence of Jarvis.
In “Iron Man”…

What not to miss: The shield of Captain America, discreetly placed on a workbench, just behind him. Remember that Howard Stark, Tony’s father, had himself designed the object a few decades earlier. However, this is a small error in the Marvel timeline since at this point the super-soldier is still supposed to be frozen.
In “Avengers: Endgame”…

What not to miss: The very discreet presence of Howard the Duck, already seen behind one of the Collector’s windows in Guardians of the Galaxyand apparently determined to fight it out.
