After La Promesse, Gloria, or HPI, which was a hit for its launch a few days ago with more than 9 million viewers in front of the investigations carried out by Audrey Fleurot, TF1 will try again to create the event in its police box on Thursday evening with Luther, the French adaptation of the eponymous British series worn by Idris Elba since 2010.
In this six-episode remake, which premieres May 27 at 9:05 p.m. on the front page, Christopher Bayemi, who currently plays the forensic in HPI precisely, plays Theo Luther, the most formidable group leader of the Paris Criminal Brigade who, after having tracked down a child killer for many months, suffers from a depression that puts his marriage in jeopardy .
Reinstated in his unit, Theo, plagued by intimate and criminal demons, is brought to investigate Alice (Chloe Jouannet), whom he suspects of the murder of his parents. Unable to prove his guilt, he becomes enraged in front of this young woman who openly taunts him. From now on, Luther fights the worst assassins of Greater Paris under the gaze of a killer who seems to be – yet – the only one to understand him.
Alongside the two headliners Christopher Bayemi and Chloé Jouannet (Infidèle, Derby Girl), TF1 viewers will notably find Sagamore Stevenin, Nadia Fares, Barbara cabrita, Aurelien Wiik, Leo Dussollier, Thierry Frémont and Adèle Choubard.
