Produced by JJ Abrams, Histoire de Lisey – Lisey’s Story in original version – is the new Apple TV + miniseries adapted from Stephen King’s most intimate novel. The author, known worldwide for his macabre tales, signs by the 8 episodes of this fiction as melancholy as disturbing. The first images give a first glimpse of this dark universe sublimated by the staging of the Chilean Pablo Larraín, director of the biopic Jackie with Natalie Portman.
The plot follows Lisey, the widow of a successful writer – so hold on – killed by an unbalanced fan. Two years after his death, the bruised wife will discover the secrets of her late husband, who left her with many clues. She will in particular enter a strange parallel world which collects all the souls in pain. Series on grief, healing and loneliness, Lisey’s story can count on its excellent cast, led by Julianne Moore.
In the role of her late husband, Clive Owen plays her, accompanied by Joan Allen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Dane DeHaan and Ron Cephas Jones. As soon as it airs on June 4, the platform will release two episodes per week. Still a little patience.
