Le Sens de la famille trailer: Franck Dubosc and Alexandra Lamy exchange their bodies

Discover the first images of Sens de la famille, a comedy produced by Alexandra Lamy and Franck Dubosc … and vice versa! Release scheduled for June 30.

Five years after the SF film Arès, Jean-Patrick Benes completely changes his register with Le Sens de la famille.

This time, he summons Alexandra Lamy and Franck Dubosc for a crazy comedy exploring the theme of “body swap”.

This cinematographic sub-genre revolves around the exchange of bodies. Recently, Stéphane de Groodt and Louise Bourgoin swapped theirs in One in the other, released in 2017.

Other films are also worth mentioning such as Freaky Friday with Lindsay Lohan, Standard Exchange with Ryan Reynolds or Makoto Shinkai’s cult anime, Your Name.

In Le Sens de la famille, it’s not only Lamy and Dubosc who exchange their bodies! Children are also involved in the process.

It all started one fine morning. The Morels wake up with a serious problem. They find that everyone’s mind is stuck in the body of another family member!

Chacha, 6, is in Papa’s body, Papa in the body of his teenage son, the son in the body of the big sister, the big sister in the body of the mother, and the mother in the body of Chacha …. Didn’t you follow? Neither do they. And that’s just the beginning.

“The principle of the” body swap “film is to put yourself in the other’s shoes. The hero changes body to live the life of the other in order to better understand him”, explains Jean-Patrick Benes in the film’s press kit.

“In Freaky Friday, a mother and daughter exchange their bodies and learn to understand each other again. In In The Skin of a Blonde, a macho learns what it’s like to be a woman. The genre has even had a version thriller with Volte / Face where the good and the bad exchange their bodies … Except that they don’t learn much and they continue to kill each other “, specifies the filmmaker.

“In Le Sens de la famille, six characters switch and rewitch at the same time. So, obviously, each one discovers the other (and even the others) but this is not the only theme of the film. It mainly talks about the family, the couple, education and all the disillusions and disenchantments that can accompany them “, adds the director.

Note that the comedy is written by Martin Douaire, creator of UFO (s) on Canal +, and Thibault Valetoux, whose series Les Sentinelles is coming soon to OCS. Jean-Patrick Benes and Allan Mauduit, collaborators on Kaboul Kitchen, also participated in the writing.

Get ready to switch bodies from June 30 at the cinema!
