From Middle-earth to the far reaches of the Star Wars galaxy, passing through the jungles of Jurassic Park, he never refuses a small trip to the greatest sagas of cinema. Child of the 90s, creator of the programs Give Me Five and Big Fan Theory, he has been writing for AlloCiné since 2010.

While “Kaamelott – First part” is released in theaters today, we were able to meet Alexandre Astier and talk to him about his writing, scriptwriting and musical techniques.

10 years after the end of the famous series created by Alexandre Astier, Arthur and his knights are back in the cinema in Kaamelott – First part, in theaters from today. On this occasion, we were able to talk to the director and creator of this very special universe, with sharp lines and irresistible characters.

Accompanied by Anne Girouard (Guinevere) and François Rollin (King Lot), Astier notably returned with us to his writing, scriptwriting and musical techniques, to the way in which the actors inspired him to stories or characters, to the influence of Louis de Funès and Michel Audiard on his work.
