Currently available for digital purchase and VOD rental, the film Zack Snyder’s Justice League will be broadcast on OCS on May 19. The new cut of the film DC Comics, the culmination of a campaign led by the filmmaker’s fans on social networks, will also be offered in a new black and white version, soberly titled Zack Snyder’s Justice League: Justice is Gray.
Longer (four hours in total), Zack Snyder’s Justice League benefited from a brand new post-production to include scenes cut in the edit by Joss Whedon, who took over after Snyder left following a family drama.
This director’s cut notably made it possible to put the character of Cyborg back at the center of the plot, reduced to a simple secondary character in the film montage. His interpreter Ray Fisher had also accused Whedon of “inappropriate and unprofessional behavior”, resulting in his ousting from the movie The Flash.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League: From Chaotic Production to Project Resurrection
Remember that several additional scenes could also be returned. This is particularly the case of a sequence involving the Joker (played by Jared Leto) which offers a vision of what would have been the second and third part of Justice League. Despite the mobilization of fans, however, these sequels should not see the light of day, although Zack Snyder has declared himself ready to put them in motion if the Warner Bros. studio. had to change his mind.
