Jean Dujardin: After “OSS 117: Red alert in black Africa”, Jean Dujardin will be a solitary walker in a new adaptation of a story by Sylvain Tesson for the cinema, with the book “On the black paths”, published in 2016. Denis Imbert will direct the film.
5 years later In the forests of Siberia, a new story by Sylvain Tesson is about to be adapted for cinema. Les Chemins de Pierre, a new film by Denis Imbert, is freely inspired by On the black Road by Sylvain Tesson, published in 2016 by Gallimard.
The author presented his book as follows at the time of its release: “I would have had to run around the world and fall from a roof to realize that I had there, before my eyes, in a country so close to which I was unaware of the folds, a network of country paths open to mystery, bathed in of pure silence, miraculously empty. Life gave me a chance, so it was high time to cross France on foot on my black paths. There, no one tells you how to stand, what to think, or even the direction to take. ”
Jean Dujardin announced the upcoming filming of the project on his Instagram account:
The book will be adapted by Denis Imbert and Diastème who sign the screenplay. The staging will be provided by Denis Imbert, whose new film Mystère will be released on December 15th.
Around Jean Dujardin, the cast of Les Chemins de Pierre will be composed of Jonathan Zaccai, Camille Rowe, Anny Duperey and Izia Higelin. The film is produced by Radar Films.
This film will be the second story adapted into fiction among the works of the author and adventurer Sylvain Tesson, after In the Siberian Forests. Remember that he will also be at the heart of a documentary presented in Cannes last July, La Panthère des neiges, which he co-stars with photographer Vincent Munier.
