This Wednesday, the actress, seen recently in the credits of Leila and her brothers, was released on bail in Tehran after three weeks of detention. Taraneh Alidoosti openly supported the protests that had been going on in Iran since the death of young Mahsa Amini after her arrest by the vice squad last September.
“My client was released on bail today”, Taraneh Alidoosti’s lawyer told the Isna news agency. Many personalities of the seventh art, including the French actress Marion Cotillard and the Spanish director Pedro Almodóvar, had mobilized to show their support for the actress.
