Expected for October 22 on Apple TV +, “Invasion” stages the arrival of extraterrestrials on Earth with an international cast and a dark atmosphere reminiscent of Denis Villeneuve’s “First Contact”. Check out the trailer.

The arrival of the invaders on Earth is a classic of science fiction. For its new series, the Apple TV + platform, which connects ambitious projects, rubs shoulders with exercise with Invasion. Through its ten episodes, the program will follow the fate of a handful of characters located in the four corners of the world while an attack comes to endanger the whole of humanity. The first images, rather impressive, are reminiscent of the realistic tone of War of the Worlds by Steven Spielberg and First Contact directed by Denis Villeneuve.

Supported by an international cast, the series will be able to count on the talent of Sam Neill, Iranian Golshifteh Farahani – who is continuing his journey across the Atlantic -, Canadian Shamier Anderson, Israeli Firas Nassar and Japanese-Australian actress Shiori Kutsuna, appeared in Deadpool 2.

Simon Kinberg, producer of The Martian by Ridley Scott and director of X-Men: Dark Phoenix, co-produced and co-scripted the entire program with David Weil, creator of the series Hunters with Al Pacino. Behind the camera, Belgian filmmaker Jakob Verbruggen will direct all the episodes. The director had already worked on the series The Fall with Gillian Anderson and Jamie Dornan, as well as The Alienist.

The first three episodes of the series will be released on October 22, followed by the other sections which will be available every Friday.
