In HPI, all characters are important, even dogs. The first episode broadcast last night on TF1, entitled “Like master, like dog”, saw Morgane and Karadec (Mehdi Nebbou) investigate the murder of a man, suffocated in a parking lot.
On their way to the scene, they discovered that he was leaving behind a large dog that the consultant hastened to take her wing. Not having the heart to leave it in the pound, the character played by Audrey Fleurot recovered it, against Karadec’s advice, and gave it the name of “Ryan Gosling”.
In real life, this dog, which belongs to the Irish Wolfhound breed, is actually a female named Oxanna. And this is not the first time that she has appeared in front of the camera. Last year, this canine actress filmed under the direction of Ridley Scott in The Last Duel, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Eric Jager, which should be released in October in France.
According to Alice Chegaray-Breugnot, creator and artistic director of HPI, the director fell in love with Oxanna who spent a lot of time with him. It will therefore be on your screens in a few months in front of Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Jodie Comer and Adam Driver.
As a reminder, HPI follows Morgane, a mother with 160 IQ who will see her destiny turned upside down when the police hire her as a consultant to help them in their investigations.
True audience success for TF1, with an average of more than 10 million viewers every Friday evening in front of their screens, the channel has already announced the renewal of the detective series for a season 2, even before the broadcast of the last episodes.
