ANNABELLE COMES TO THE DEFENSE OF HER SON
Early in the morning, Teyssier is very angry with his nephew who protected Ethan. On the one hand, Charlène thinks he should fire Chef Cardone’s son without delay and on the other, Axel and Theo believe that the doping products have not made him a better cook. When his nephew tries to find out what sanction he intends to take, the chief tells him that it is none of his business.
Meanwhile, Ethan confesses the whole truth to his mother about the doping drugs. The chief regrets not having seen her son’s distress before and tries to understand his reasons. The student then confesses to him that he started taking substances to be up to it. However, he assures her that it started a few weeks ago because he wanted to train. The young man understands that his place at the institute is compromised and is already thinking of looking for a job. For her part, Annabelle points out to him that with his reputation it will be impossible, but then she seems to have an idea so that he is not fired from the institute.
A little later, Ethan confesses to Chef Teyssier and Antoine that he took doping products during the competition. He then promises them that he has completely stopped and takes Axel as a witness. Then suddenly, Chief Cardone interrupts their conversation with a startling revelation: she forced her son to dope to pass the competition. Annabelle decided to tell them the truth so that her son wouldn’t pay for his mistakes. Emmanuel and Antoine are then flabbergasted.
Amber has discovered the truth about Ethan and lets Tom and Solal know. The second-year student wants to confront him, but the young woman manages to convince him not to fight with him. Tom then decides to send a message on the institute group to let everyone know.
For her part, the chef Armand is also aware of Ethan and believes that he must be fired without delay from the institute. However, Emmanuel and Antoine explain to him that the situation is not so simple since his mother would have pushed him to take amphetamines. Clotilde then hypothesizes that Chief Cardone lied in order to protect her son. However, Teyssier is convinced that she would not put her reputation at risk. He also knows his methods very well.
At the same time, Ethan is at his worst since he stopped amphetamines. Annabelle then brings him water in the park out of sight for him to hydrate. The young man still does not understand why his mother lied to cover him up, the latter explains to him that she did it because she knows his passion for cooking. Ethan admits to him having stopped taking the drugs but he fears not to overcome the lack. His mother assures him that he is strong enough to do it and also to face the gaze of others.
As soon as he arrives in the kitchen, Ethan is pushed out by Solal but Samia quickly steps between them. The Cardone son then finds the word “cheat” on his work plan, which annoys the chef Armand.
At the end of the day, Ethan thanks Samia for her kindness. He then offers her to go for a walk with him a little later, but she refuses. Indeed, the young woman does not want to spend time with him since she believes that he cheated and took the place of someone else. The young man admits not being proud of him but he thought she would have understood why he was so keen to be the best. He then begs her not to leave because he doesn’t want their relationship to end like this. The young woman tells him that nothing will happen between them.
LOUIS BECOMES A PROFESSOR AT THE INSTITUTE
Antoine asks Claire for her opinion about the potential hiring of her son as a new professor at the institute. For her part, the chef does not think it is a good idea since, humanly speaking, Louis does not do the trick. She is even convinced that he would do better to prove himself elsewhere, before admitting that it would be better for their relationship.
Later, Emmanuel finally changed his mind about Louis’ candidacy. According to him, the young man is certainly not the best humanly speaking, but he already knows that he is a good teacher. Antoine admits that he has helped the sophomores tremendously to reenter the institute, but he fears that his hiring will create a problem with Claire. However, the chef and headmaster agree that he is the best candidate for the job.
Teyssier announces the good news to Louis a little later, but explains to him that it does not change what he thinks of him: he does not come close to his daughter. He also takes malicious pleasure in revealing to her that his mother tried to dissuade them from hiring him at the institute.
At the end of the day, Louis and Charlène celebrate his hiring by drinking a glass of champagne. Claire then learns that her son got the job but does not change position. According to her, it would have been better for everyone if he had distanced himself from the institute.
MASTER’S STUDENTS MAKE THEIR PRE-RETURN
The pre-entry of the master has arrived! The students are gathered in the amphitheater and wait impatiently for Rose. Anaïs and Salomé find it difficult to hide their stress and try to reassure themselves. For his part, Enzo fears that this master will be a failure since Rose is not a chef. Livio was unaware of this information and he hopes not to have dropped everything in Italy for nothing. Charlene then joins the conversation because she has heard a lot about the Sicilian from her father. Without waiting, the young man begins to flirt with her but she immediately cuts his advances short by showing him her engagement ring.
Rose gives a welcome speech to the students and tells them that from now on, they are no longer considered as students but as leaders. She assures them that the master will allow them to acquire the necessary skills to carry out their projects through masterclasses and modules led by heads of the institute or guests. And if the serious things should only start next week, she has prepared a great taste for them: two days of pre-entry with the multi-starred chef Cécile Meyer.
A little later, the young chefs attend a demonstration by Cécile Meyer to their delight. She shows them how to make her langoustine gyozas, a recipe that she considers simple and balanced. When Salomé admits not having succeeded in passing the first stage of the dish, the chef tells them that if they have come this far, it is because they can trust each other. For her part, Charlène tells them that Cécile Meyer is famous for starting or stopping careers in the middle.
At the end of the day, Rose admits to Cécile that she deliberately lied to the students about the duration of her teaching at the institute. Indeed, she decided to do so so that they give themselves to the maximum from the start. The chef has not yet seen them cook, but she is already certain that there is a level. Then, Salomé and Anaïs want to thank her for her masterclass and are surprised to discover that she has remembered their surnames.
