Claire encourages Hortense to undergo therapy
Hortense wakes up next to Mehdi. In a playful mood, she gets ready to make love with him, but Mehdi stops her and admits to fear that he will disgust her because of his weight. Hortense explains to him that his bulimia has nothing to do with the way she sees him and reassures him.
As they begin to get down to business, Enzo enters the room to grab his bag and surprises them. In class, he slips to Tom having surprised Hortense in bed with Mehdi, which in his eyes discredits his discomfort. If she feels so bad about her body, why is she having a good time with her boyfriend? Tom agrees with him.
Having overheard their conversation, Claire decides to dot the i’s with the students about their classmate. So she summons the whole class to explain to them that the bulimia from which Hortense suffers is a real disease, even if she seems to be fine on the surface. She then reveals that she herself suffered from bulimia when she was younger, and therefore understands very well what Hortense suffers from and why this disease can be so hard to detect.
With the help of her father, she then goes to visit the young girl, and suggests that she start therapy in a medical center, and not to neglect her suffering. She herself was hospitalized for six months when she was young, and it helped her a lot to heal. But Hortense panics at the idea of missing classes at the Armand Institute for several months.
She then films herself live on social networks in order to send a message to the students. She apologizes to them following the broadcast of her intimate vlog, and reveals to them her intention to seek treatment by going to a specialized center. She concludes her message by greeting her comrades and telling them how much she loves and admires them.
She then realizes by closing her live that all the students have gathered in front of her to show her support. Mehdi, Lionel, Kelly, Tom and the others then promise to help him get out of his illness as best they can, and surround him in a collective embrace.
Hortense then announces to her father and Claire that she no longer wishes to go to the clinic: thanks to the support of her friends, she knows that she can count on them during difficult times.
Salomé clears things up with Axel
After Jasmine’s outburst of jealousy the day before when she surprised him alongside Axel in the kitchen helping her unmold meringues, Salomé decides to be honest with Teyssier’s nephew. When the latter asks her to help him work on his cut mushrooms that he considers rather pitiful, Salomé declines.
She explains to Axel that he feels uncomfortable with Jasmine, who clearly has feelings for him. After the scene of the day before, she sees herself reluctantly accepting to spend time with him again, at the risk of triggering her wrath.
Caught off guard, Axel admits to having suspected that Jasmine was attracted to him, but he didn’t think he obsessed her so much. Surprised, Salomé then asks him if he feels things for her, and Axel replies that he appreciates working with her, but nothing more. Salomé then encourages him to talk to her in order to clarify things.
Eliott, Greg and Célia choose their outfits for the ball
During Teyssier’s pastry class, the students are dissipated as the prom approaches. Some show each other their ideas for outfits, while others listen to their favorite songs to slip into the playlist, and Salomé and Anaïs together list the food stocks for the buffet. Exasperated, the director warns them that the pastry recipe he is making could well fail in the end-of-year tests – all promotions combined – if they continue to be so distracted.
After class, Célia takes Eliott, Greg, Ambre and Théo to the salt marshes to choose their light suits for the big night. Her grandmother gives them access to a stock of vintage clothes from her collection for the occasion.
If Ambre chooses a pop outfit with a sequined jumpsuit, Théo shows little enthusiasm for the fittings and is content with a sober outfit with a tie chosen by Greg. The latter, mocked by his friends for his choice of outfit, is advised by Celia’s grandmother, who lends him a beautiful vintage striped suit.
Celia, finally, shines in a vintage sequined dress. But while everyone is rejoicing at the approach of the festivities, Jasmine announces terrible news to them: the village hall which was to host the end-of-year ball is hit by water damage. The whole organization falls apart…
