Tuesday, January 12 in Here everything begins …

SALOMÉ LEAVES THE FAMILY HOME

After three days in the hospital, Salomé returns home depressed. When Louis reproaches her for having slept with Maxime, the young woman swears that they are quite simply friends. As Claire defends her daughter-in-law, Louis becomes angry and goes to the greenhouse of the Institute where he destroys everything in his path. Meanwhile, Claire questions Salomé about her relationship with son Delcourt. The latter indicates that she respected the choice she made because she really wanted to start a family with Louis but refuses to justify herself further. Worried about the couple’s future, Claire wonders if she did well to hide the truth from her son regarding the relationship between Maxime and Salomé. Even if Clotilde tries to make him understand that Louis could react very badly because of his character, Claire does not appreciate that one dirties her son and prefers to put an end to the conversation.

Not far from there, Louis finds Maxime and vehemently seeks answers. No longer supporting the young man’s behavior, Maxime in turn loses his temper. When they are about to come to blows, Elodie intervenes and demands that they calm down. Understanding the anger very well, Elodie puts her hand on Louis’ arm and asks him to take a deep breath. Slightly calmed, Louis, who is sure that his wife had an affair with Maxime, confides that he has had enough of everyone lying to him and being taken for the freak on duty. As she touches his arm to reassure him, Louis seems disturbed by Elodie and leaves hastily. For her part, Salomé tells Rose about the horrors that Louis inflicts on her. Having gone through the same thing with her ex-husband, Rose warns her and adds that he will never change. Shaken up by this conversation, Salomé goes home and then prepares a bag with her things before leaving home.

JÉRÉMY WANTS TO GET TO KNOW VINCENT

Annoyed at having been rejected by the woman he loves, Vincent questions his professional future and informs his family of his decision to go back to Paris to get a teaching position. Célia, who is furious at the idea that her father abandons her, joins Jérémy because only he could convince him to stay in Calvières. Insofar as he wants to get to know his biological father, Jérémy agrees to help him and goes to meet Vincent in the salt marshes. While the latter is clumsy in declaring that it is easier for him to leave without a tie, Jeremy retorts hurt that he runs away a second time and that he is not the kind of man he wants to know. At the end of the day, Vincent reconsidered his decision and announced that he had no intention of returning to Paris. Happy, Célia hugs her father then sends a message to Jeremy to thank him.

CLAIRE WANTS TO MODERNIZE THE INSTITUTE

Having refused to scald a lobster, Anaïs is summoned to the principal’s office. As she no longer wants to cook dead animals, Antoine explains that he will have to summon his teachers to make a decision on his future. Shortly after, Clotilde and Claire discuss the future of Anaïs within the Institute. While Clotilde excludes endangering her father’s work, Claire believes that a little modernity could do good at school. The director then joins Anaïs and notifies her of her exclusion for one day for having weakened her brigade. Also wondering about animal respect and ecology, Claire would like to develop vegetarian cuisine and short circuits. Very motivated by what she hears, Anaïs promises to fight alongside her to change mentalities.
