Friday August 27 in Here everything begins …

Teyssier reveals the outcome of the competition

Following the final cooking test in which Kelly, Ambre and Solal faced off to decide for the last two places, Teyssier reveals the names of the candidates selected to join the Armand Institute. While Amber inherits the nineteenth place, Solal is eliminated. It is therefore Kelly who will be the twentieth and last candidate to join the first years, despite all the pitfalls set by Teyssier during the tests to disqualify her.

While Laetitia, Salomé and Lionnel celebrate the victory of the young girl, Mehdi, Hortense and Eliott observe with curiosity the new recruits. Particularly moved, Mehdi confesses to his friends that he could never have imagined curing his cancer and spending his second year with them.

For his part, Solal tries to console Ambre, and asks him to take full advantage of his selection at the institute even if it will be done without him. In the evening, Célia also tells him of her disappointment at not seeing him among the new students. The young man then points out to her that he will have at least won a friend in this ordeal. When Celia asks him if they are really friends, Solal asks him if he can kiss her. Celia accepts and the two finally embrace.

Louis is jealous of Tom

Charlène crosses paths with Tom in the institute. This one was selected to integrate the promotion of the first years, and the young woman, fan of his videos mixing cooking and ASMR, congratulates him, before offering to hug him.

As they do so, Louis surprises them and interrupts the celebrations. Charlene explains to him that she just wanted to congratulate Tom. Louis sharply sends Tom for a walk, mocking his ASMR videos. Charlene then relishes the fact of seeing Louis being jealous of another boy, and does not fail to point out to him.

Antoine offers to keep Naël

Rose and Constance go to meet Emma, determined to confront her about the baby. Disconcerted, the young girl assures them that she is not Naël’s mother. When Rose asks her about the hole in her file concerning her year of Terminale, the young girl loses her temper: she did not stop high school because she was pregnant, but following a dismissal for having stolen equipment.

The two women had nothing to do with it; Rose then resigned herself to contacting ASE. Antoine worries that she has become too attached to Naël, because he can send her back to the painful memory of the loss of her baby a few years earlier. Rose assures her that this is not the case, but she is torn at the idea that Naël is placed in a nursery and that his biological mother can never find him.

Antoine, who already has a file with Children’s Aid following the adoption of Souleymane, then suggests that he request temporary custody of Naël while his mother is found. Rose happily accepts, and the ASE advisor who receives them is in favor of this decision.

Lionnel causes a fire

Sensitive to the fact that Lionnel reproached Greg for not coming to support him at his family dinner on the anniversary of his mother’s death, Eliott tries to ease the tensions by going to apologize to the boy. He explains to her that if Greg could not be released that evening, it was his fault: he broke down in the Cévennes and asked his boyfriend to come and get him.

At these words, Lionnel loses his temper, furious that Greg has told him about his mother’s death. He violently rejects Eliott, forcing Greg to intervene. Later, her sister asks her to go to the cemetery with her family. Lionnel refuses, and she reproaches him for minimizing his own suffering, reminding him that it was she who discovered their mother unconscious after her stroke.

Upset and angry, Lionnel then isolates himself in the boarding school, and lights a candle. He then sets fire to a sort of dark blue shawl. But the flames spread very quickly, and Lionnel, panicked, lets go of the garment. The fire then spreads throughout the room under the impassive gaze of the young man …
