Happier Camper’s Latest Trailer Features a Bed, Kitchenette and Bathroom

Call it vintage, contemporary or classic, but these two new models by Los Angeles-based Happier Camper have my heart. These retro-inspired travel trailers are build upon the contemporary design of the HC1 camper previously launched by the company. Dubbed HC1 Studio and HC1 Venture, both the travel trailers are small and lightweight, simultaneously boasting a vintage and a contemporary look. While HC1 Studio is a modular tiny home on wheels, the HC1 Venture is meant for commercial purposes.

Below, we will be discussing the HC1 Studio trailer, as the apartment on wheels is something, families would be looking forward to. The company has added a fixed wet bathroom and kitchenette featuring a dual-burner stove, battery-powered fridge, and sink to the Studio model, albeit leading to an increase in weight. Weighing 1800 lbs (816kg), the trailer weighs 700 lbs more than its predecessor. In addition, the camper also offers a queen-size bed at the rear that would be perfect for any couple longing for outside adventure or a honeymoon, maybe.

Catering to your hygienic needs, there is a dry flush toilet that does not require plumbing, rather the waste bags can easily be disposed. Equipped with a 17-gallon fresh and 17-gallon graywater tank alongside the propane-powered air, solar panels and water heater, it helps you stay off grid.

It’s interesting, how the camper manufacturers have cleverly squeezed the extras into roughly the same floor of 42-square-feet. Shoutout to the company’s 3×3 Adaptiv modular interior system that allows you to easily customize your trailer and configure your furniture at the tailgate. There are Adaptiv cubes, half-cubes, cushions and table tops which let you convert the bedroom into a dining room or a living room.

Other than that, the trailer features the same fiberglass shell as the HC1 and stays true to its modular design with signature rear hatch. Starting at $49,950, it is a little expensive, but worth buying considering it offers a both a kitchen and a bathroom inside.
