In this event episode, titled “Look Up Child”, Jackson successively visits his father (Eric Roberts) and April to tell them that he has decided to move to Boston in order to take the helm of the Harper Foundation. Avery and “to create true racial equality in the world of medicine”.

He asks April to also move there with Matthew and Harriet so that he is not separated from their daughter, and it is then that April reveals to him a piece of information about his private life that is sure to come back. to make the effect of a bomb on the televiewers: she separated from Matthew.

Will this twist push Jackson and April into each other’s arms again and allow the “Japril” couple to have their happy ending? For now, the secret is well kept. But according to Deadline, Jesse Williams will make his last appearance in Grey’s Anatomy on May 20, during episode 15 of season 17. Two weeks before the final season, scheduled for June 3 across the Atlantic on ABC.
