TF1 is broadcasting this Thursday evening the last two episodes of “Gloria”, its new series with Cécile Bois, Barbara Schulz, and JoeyStarr. But is this really the end of the series or is a season 2 possible?
After three weeks of twists and turns and breathless investigation, Gloria, the new TF1 series carried by Cécile Bois, Barbara Schulz, JoeyStarr, Nicole Calfan, Michaël Cohen, Malik Zidi, and Lucie Lucas ends tonight from 9:05 p.m. with the broadcast of the last two episodes.
Obviously eagerly awaited by the fans, who were obviously passionate about the front page and Salto for the quest for truth of this mother and lawyer who sees her daily life shattered when her husband disappears overnight without explanation, this final will take the form of a wrap-up conclusion, which will answer all the questions asked from the beginning.
However, a season 2 of Gloria, created by Jeanne Le Guillou and Bruno Dega (The Killer of the Lake), seems completely possible. Contacted by us, TF1 informed us that it had no information to communicate for the moment about a possible follow-up. But it would be very surprising if the chain and the production did not want to continue the adventure when we see the audience hit achieved by the series over the past two weeks.

On Thursday March 18, the first two episodes of Gloria were indeed watched on average by 6.25 million curious people, for an audience share of 29.8% among individuals aged 4 and over and 28.7 % on women responsible for purchases under the age of fifty (FRDA-50). On D + 7, the success of this first evening climbs to 7.2 million people, with a replay gain of more than a million viewers for episode 2.
A very good start confirmed in week 2 since, last Thursday, episodes 3 and 4 still gathered 5.86 million faithful on average (26.3% of market share on the FRDA-50) in watch audience. As for the figures on Salto, they have not been communicated but Gloria prances in any case at the top of the top most viewed programs on the platform since it was put online, in preview, in early March.
And the good news is that, if the order for a season 2 were to materialize, TF1 and Quad Télévision would not have too much trouble imagining the continuation of (my) adventures of Gloria Meyers since Keeping Faith, the British series of which Gloria is the French adaptation, has had three seasons across the Channel since 2017.
The writers could thus decide to simply transpose the arches of season 2 of Keeping Faith. But they could also make the choice, on the contrary, to imagine a completely original second season. In the manner of what was proposed last year for Unfaithful, with Claire Keim, whose season 2, very successful, managed to deviate radically from the plot of the original series, Doctor Foster.
It remains to be seen whether, once the audiences for the last broadcast evening are known, TF1 will want to renew its new thriller event for a second round of episodes. And if Cécile Bois, very taken by the shooting of Candice Renoir, will manage to free herself of time for a potential sequel.
