A poll conducted by the OnBuy site reveals that the finale of the “Lost” series is the one that most disappointed fans, just ahead of that of “Game of Thrones”.
The conclusions of series, especially when it comes to cult series, always give rise to intense debates, which are sometimes capable of really upsetting some. Riding on the tenth anniversary of Game of Thrones, whose final moments have frankly shared, the Onbuy site surveyed over 1,500 people to find out which series finale disappointed fans the most.
Verdict? The final of Lost, with 27.3% of the vote, was the least convincing, although it is now more than ten years old. Not far behind, that of Game of Thrones, whose eighth and final season ended almost two years ago, did not seduce 25% of those questioned. Follow How I Met Your Mother (17%), Sherlock (16%) and Prison Break (13%).
It should be noted that Dexter, who closes the list with 12% of the votes, was certainly a little disappointed with his conclusion, but that he will be given a second chance to convince. A ninth season will indeed see the light of day this year, seven years after the end of the series, with a showrunner who, dissatisfied with the famous finale, hopes to correct the situation with these new episodes!
The OnBuy site finally went further in its survey by analyzing the results by genre. We thus discover that, specifically for men, it is the final of Game of Thrones which disappoints the most with 26.4% of the votes, that of Lost being credited with 24.2% of the votes. As for women, it’s the opposite: for 25% of them, Lost has the least satisfactory conclusion, ahead of Game of Thrones (24.3%).
