A few weeks after being put online on Salto, the special episode “Friends The Reunion” will be offered in prime time in June on TF1, the opportunity to meet the 6 friends for an evening.
On Thursday, May 26, Salto created the event by uploading on its Friends The Reunion platform, a special HBO Max program devoted to the cult Friends series. Announced in prime time on TF1, the channel has finally unveiled the broadcast date on its antenna.
All those who had the patience to wait, or who wanted to see the episode dubbed by the original French voices of the series (because, yes, TF1 will broadcast the program in French), will therefore be able to discover this exceptional episode on Thursday June 24 at 9:05 pm.
17 years after the series ended, Friends The Reunion saw fans reunite with Courteney Cox (Monica), Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe), Matt LeBlanc (Joey), Matthew Perry (Chandler) and David Schwimmer (Ross), in the mythical settings of the sitcom. A moving reunion since it was the second time that all the actors had been gathered since the end of the series.
During 1:39, the 6 actors returned to the highlights of Friends, replayed some cult scenes, took part in a tribute quiz and also made shocking revelations that moved all the fans from the start.
Tom Selleck (Richard), Maggie Wheeler (Janice), James Michael Tyler (Gunther) as well as Elliott Gould and Christina Pickles, parents of Monica and Ross, were also there and came to do a short cameo to the delight viewers.
Lady Gaga, KPop band BTS, Justin Bieber and many more have also made surprise appearances to testify to the impact the show has had on their lives.
The evening will continue with the broadcast of 10 cult episodes of Friends starting at 11:15 p.m.
25 years later, is Friends still a must-see series?
