Fast & Furious: Dwayne Johnson won’t come back and mocks Vin Diesel
Passionate about the big and small screen and fascinated by actors, Marine has very eclectic tastes. She nevertheless has a preference for American cinema. Devours everything that passes her eyes, from the huge blockbuster to the smallest independent film.
Fast & Furious 9
Already absent from Fast & Furious 9, Dwayne Johnson has announced that he will not be returning in the final episodes of the franchise.
After a very public fallout, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson appeared to have reconciled. The fans therefore hoped to one day be able to see the two actors in action together. What will not happen in the end … It must be said that the very talkative interpreter of Dominic Toretto recently returned to their collaboration in terms that did not really please the former wrestler.
In the columns of Men’s Health, Diesel explained that he had deliberately provoked Johnson on the sets of the previous opus so that his performance as an actor was the best possible: “I can give a lot of cow love. Not Fellini’s way either, but I would do anything to get performance in anything I produce.”
Asked by The Hollywood Reporter on these statements, the one who lent his features to Luke Hobbs in Fast & Furious 5, 6, 7 and 8 but also the Hobbs & Shaw spin-off was not tender with his former sidekick:
I laughed, I laughed a lot. I think everyone laughed at it. And I won’t say anything more. Except that I wished them the best. I wish them the best on Fast & Furious 9. And I wish them the best of luck on the 10 and 11 and all the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they’ll make that will be without me.
It remains to be seen if The Rock would still agree to reprise his role in a film that does not include Vin Diesel, like a sequel to Hobbs & Shaw!
