Since Shonda rhimes invited spectators for the first time to its Wonderland theme park with the premiere of Grey’s Anatomy in 2005, she never failed to make the small screen a more romantic, feminist and inclusive place. As his eponymous production company grew to include Zeitgeist-y series like Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, Station 19 and, more recently, Bridgerton on Netflix, she fed us well, showing us how McDreamy the world can be.
And while she’s only just getting started with her second act on the streaming service that has drawn her away from ABC, she has already more than cemented her legacy as one of television’s greatest creators.
