Scream, the saga – from Monday August 22
If there is one horror saga that is in everyone’s memory, it’s it! From August 22, CANAL+ will make all lovers of Scream with a marathon of 4 films. A skilful marriage between the genres of slasher and whodunitwell sprinkled with black humor, the franchise started in 1996 under the direction of Wes Craven and quickly knew how to forge an audience of fans.
26 years later, this symbol of cinema has not aged a bit, as evidenced by the resounding success of the 5th opus released last January at the cinema. Appointment from August 22 to 25 with Sidney Prescott (neve campbell), Gale Weathers (Courtney Cox) and all the others (without forgetting Ghostface, of course), for a summer full of cold sweats!
Conversations with friends – Thursday, August 25
The fans of Normal People are thrilled. After the excellent series on this endearing couple, another novel by Sally Rooney (his very first) gets a new skin through a television adaptation. Conversations with friends this time explores the relationship between two inseparable former girlfriends, Bobbi and Frances, and a married couple.
All through 12 episodes of about thirty minutes produced by Lenny Abrahamson (Frank) and Leanne Welham (His Dark Materials), and carried by a flamboyant cast. True revelation of the series, Alison Oliver plays the cerebral and observant Frances, while Sasha Lane (American Honey) lends his features to his ex Bobby. We also find Joe Alwyn (The Favourite) and Jemima Kirke (Girls) starring in what promises to be our end-of-summer series.
