“Baron Noir” had predicted the slap given by a Frenchman to the President of the Republic. With the difference that in the Canal + series, it was a president, played by Anna Mouglalis. Extract.
Reality has joined fiction. This time, it was not The Simpsons who predicted an event but a French series: Baron Noir. Produced by Canal +, it stages an alternative version of French politics. We find in the cast Kad Merad, François Morel, Anna Mouglalis and Astrid Whettnall.
Just recently, an excerpt from the series was highlighted for its similarities to the slap suffered by the President of the Republic Emmanuel Macron at the end of the high school of Tain-L’Hermitage last Tuesday.
In this excerpt, relayed by an Internet user, we can see the president embodied by Anna Mouglalis being violently taken to task by an aggressive opponent:
The facts are very similar, because if the slap dealt to Emmanuel Macron was not preceded by a debate, the situation is the same, namely that of a man in disagreement with the regime in place who hits his representative on the higher in the hierarchy.
In the series, the actress Anna mouglalis embodies the President of the French Republic Amélie Dorendeu, hence the slogans “Dorendist dictatorship!” hammered by the crowd in the sequence. This intelligent and ambitious character reaches the highest office of the State during season 2.
Black Baron was canceled at the end of its third season, leaving many questions unanswered. A decision made by the co-creator of the series, Eric Benzekri, who did not wish to continue writing for six years.
The three seasons of Black Baron are available on myCANAL.
