Sam Raimi and Danny Elfman in superheroes: fifth! After Darkman and the Three Spider-Man, the composer will once again team up with the director for the purposes of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which is currently filming. It is the main interested party who confirmed this in an interview given to Reverse, by revealing that it will be on the job sooner than expected: “I’m starting to do some prep work for Doctor Strange 2 that Sam Raimi is making”, he explains. “Although I’m not supposed to start for several months, they do need some recordings on set.”

Danny Elfman succeeds Michael Giacchino, composer of the first opus directed by Scott Derrickson, and his reunion with Sam Raimi is expected from March 23, 2022 on our screens. Benedict Cumberbatch returns to his role as Sorcerer Supreme, alongside Rachel McAdams, Benedict Wong and Chiwetel Ejiofor, of whom Baron Mordo should be one of the antagonists of the story. Scarlet Witch will also be present as Elizabeth Olsen, while the story, whose plot is currently secret, must be linked to that of WandaVision. Should we expect some concrete information when the series ends on March 5?
