This Wednesday April 7, Disney + celebrates its very first anniversary alongside French spectators. Articulated around six universes, Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic and the youngest Star, the platform brings together on one and the same destination some of the most popular film franchises, the great animation classics, essential series and novelties that quickly made sparks among subscribers. Discover now a selection of the programs that have made Disney + so successful since its launch.

WORSHIP FILMS AND SERIES

The Lion King

A great classic of the 90s, the touching story of young Simba who already dreamed of being king marked a whole generation of spectators. At the rate of The story of life, this animated masterpiece is still today one of the most popular of the Disney studios, alongside Aladdin, Toy Story and Beauty and the Beast. The Lion King, what a fantastic movie!

The Simpsons

The most famous animated family of the small screen is also present on the Disney + platform. Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie have been fascinating viewers for more than 30 years, a longevity that testifies to the unparalleled success of the series. Humor, references, parodies, cult replicas… here is the recipe for this essential series that we no longer present. The first 31 seasons of The Simpsons are available on Disney +.

Alien, the eighth passenger

Considered a masterpiece of cinema, the first part of the Alien franchise offers you a good session of thrills with the first appearance of the terrifying xenomorph who has traumatized more than one spectator. A feature film by Ridley Scott that is the source of many nightmares …

THE UNAVOIDABLE

Coco

Embark on a colorful journey through the Land of the Dead in the company of young Miguel, who dreams of becoming a musician. A true poetic and moving jewel, Coco pays tribute to the great Mexican tradition of the Day of the Dead. In 2018, the film won the Oscar for best original song for the title Remember me.

Desperate Housewives

In the Wisteria Lane neighborhood, appearances are often deceptive. In eight seasons, Susan, Lynette, Bree and Gabrielle have become iconic heroines of the small screen. Between family life, mysteries and twists of all kinds, the hectic daily life of Desperate Housewives is to (re) discover on Disney +.

The Artist

Direction the Hollywood of the 20s in the cinematographic jewel of Michel Hazanavicius. Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo lead the dance in the silent black and white feature film The Artist, a veritable triumph in France and internationally, as evidenced by its numerous awards: three Golden Globes, six César and five Oscars, including Best Film and Best Actor!

NEWS NOT TO BE MISSED

Drunk

Offered exclusively on the platform, the latest animated masterpiece from Pixar studios delighted spectators for Christmas. It is therefore no surprise that the Soul nugget received three nominations for the next Academy Awards: Best Animated Film, Best Original Music and Best Sound.

The Mandalorian

From the launch of the platform, viewers were able to immerse themselves in the adventures of Mando and the Child, affectionately nicknamed Baby Yoda by fans, and become a real phenomenon on social networks, in the event series The Mandalorian.

Wandavision

At the start of 2021, the couple formed by Wanda Maximoff and Vision also fascinated subscribers in a series in a creative format playing with the codes of the traditional sitcom and the Marvel universe. A successful association that won over both MCU fans and more novice spectators alike in front of WandaVision.

Falcon and the Winter Soldier

Since March 19, the platform continues its momentum with the action series Falcon and the Winter Soldier, carried by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, also from the Marvel universe.

If the success of The Mandalorian, Soul or WandaVision marked the first year of the platform, this is only the beginning. In the months to come, Disney + is reserving its subscribers new products and original productions which are expected to be more and more numerous.

Find these films and series now on the Disney + platform.
