Disenchantment on Netflix: How did Part 2 end? – News Series on TV

Before discovering Part 3 of Disenchantment on Netflix this January 15, let’s take a look back at the events of Part 2 of Matt Groening’s animated series.

Be careful, the paragraphs below reveal information about the intrigues of the first two parts of Disenchantment. If you don’t want to know anything, don’t read on!

Animated series created in 2018 by Matt Groening (The Simpsons, Futurama), Désenchantée features Princess Bean, a heroine unlike any other in a quirky medieval universe. In life, she does not wait to meet Prince Charming in the Kingdom of Dreamland but prefers to go on an adventure, much to the chagrin of her father King Zøg. His life of debauchery, spent drinking, dating and playing poker, leads him to meet the kind Elfo, a lost elf, and Luci, a little demon who encourages Bean to do silly things.

Beanie alone against all

After discovering that his mother Dagmar was evil and that she had used her against her friends, Bean does everything to resurrect Elfo, whose blood was used to revive Dagmar. Bean is depressed and prefers to leave rather than confront her mother until she arrives in Steamland, a land steeped in science, medicine and new technology. After this interesting experience, she returns to Dreamland, ready to help her father but she accidentally shoots him with a pistol which she brought back.

This incident gives a good reason to the advisers and magicians of the kingdom to carry out their plot to seize power through Derek, the son of King Zøg and his companion Oona. Beanie goes to court to stand trial for the accident that leaves the King between life and death. The princess is condemned to die burnt at the stake, but in the meantime she succeeds in treating her father and hearing the plot that has been hatched against her. Against all odds, Beanie is saved by her mother Dagmar, hidden in the cellars of the castle.

In the new part of Disenchantment, available from January 15 on Netflix, Bean will have to protect himself from the threats of his mother, who saved her, but also from traitors in Dreamland. With Elfo and Luci, the rebellious princess will return to Steamland, a neighboring land with whom she can ally to foil the plot against her, save her father and finally marry her fate and become the queen she desires to be of Dreamland.
