The Burkinabé actor Moussa Théophile Sowié, known to the general public as “the postman of the Visitors” died on April 7th. He was one of those faces forever etched in the heads of spectators in just two short scenes.

He played there a cross-factor by Godefroy de Montmirail (Jean Reno) and Jacquouille la fripouille (Christian Clavier), whom the two medieval people took for a “Buckwheat” !
Originally from Burkina, Sowié had won the Radio-France prize for theatrical writing and then made a career on the boards. He made his film debut in The Blue Note by Andrzej Zulawski in 1991, and made a few appearances in L’Afrance by Alain Gomis.
Recently, he had played a minister in The Crocodile of Botswanga and a small role in Fastlife. His last appearance on the screen was in 2018 with If you saw his heart, by Joan Chemia.
