End of the debate! Cinema theaters are finally authorized to organize screenings for less than 50 people, without presenting a health pass.
While we were wondering yesterday whether or not cinema operators could offer screenings to less than 50 spectators so as not to have to ask them for a health pass, the Ministry of Health has decided. It is indeed possible.
Declarations to the contrary had been made on Wednesday by the Directorate General of Health, which had sown confusion in the industry. But now the minister of Olivier Véran has given a clear answer via AFP:
If they sell less than 50 seats and therefore plan to accommodate less than 50 spectators, then the health pass does not apply.
Good news for many operators who wanted to turn to this solution.
