Chris Pine is in negotiations to play the main role in the reboot of the “Saint”, a new adaptation of the novels by Leslie Charteris.
Paramount continues the Le Saint adventure! Leslie Charteris’ novels will have a new cinema version. After Louis Hayward, George Sanders, Hugh Sinclair, Félix Marten, Jean Marais and Val Kilmer, it’s up to Chris Pine to take on the role for the big screen. According to Variety, the actor known for the Star Trek and Wonder Woman franchises, is in negotiations to play the thief and detective Simon Templar known as “The Saint”.
The Saint is a character especially made famous by the series carried by Roger Moore from 1962 to 1969 and his side “Robin Hood” has always made its success and adaptations have multiplied. One of the latest to date is the TV movie directed by Adam Rayner. The one with Chris Pine will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, to whom we recently owe Rocketman, the biopic about Elton John and written by Seth Grahame-Smith, the screenwriter of Lego Batman, the film.
Last year, Chris Pine was in the poster for the miniseries of Sam Sheridan I Am The Night, directed by Patty Jenkins, which he also found to shoot Wonder Woman 1984. The date of the blockbuster DC Comics / Warner is for the instant set to August 12. That of his version of the “Saint” is still unknown.
