Carrie Underwood and John legend kick off the holiday season with a new Christmas song and accompanying music video.
The artists have teamed up for “Hallelujah”, an original song from Carrie’s very first Christmas album My present. The duo’s new video for the track features John humming on a piano in a candlelit mansion, with snow falling all around. Carrie, in a silver snowflake-inspired dress, sings beside him.
The lyrics of the new song are full of promise for the New Year. After a particularly difficult year 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic, fans will certainly appreciate the hopeful post.
“Ooh, peace be on earth / Let the loners come together, let them know their worth / Ooh, let the children know,” Carrie and John sing in unison. “There is a better day to come, let’s have hope / And on the coldest evening this December / Pray that the spirit of love lasts.”
