Did you know that Audrey Fleurot was cut for editing by Woody Allen? That she had played two roles in “Kaamelott”? That she dubbed a Pixar character? Focus on five little-known things in the career of the one who hit the mark with “HPI”.
IT WAS CUT ON EDIT BY WOODY ALLEN
Audrey Fleurot should have been part of the pretty parterre of hexagonal stars present on the screen in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris. But the actress, who was to play a party girl from the 20s in the feature film, was cut for editing by the New York filmmaker.
In a 2011 interview with our colleagues from Télérama, Audrey Fleurot had returned with a certain bitterness on this experience. “I did a lot of testing in English, I shot seven days at night – during the day, I was on the set of Un village français“, she says. “It was difficult because I didn’t have the script in advance, I didn’t really know my character.”
And the heroine of HPI to conclude: “Anyway, all that for what? I was cut during the editing! It’s prestigious on the CV but all my friends think I’m a mythomaniac now!”
NICOLE KIDMAN TAKES OVER ONE OF HIS ROLES
In the cult comedy Intouchables, theatrically released in 2011, Audrey Fleurot embodies the character of Magalie, the secretary of Philippe (François Cluzet). A role which then reveals her a little more to the general public and which will be played a few years later by … Nicole Kidman!
It is in The Upside, the Hollywood remake of Untouchables, that Nicole Kidman takes over the role of the secretary, who responds here to the name of Yvonne. In the credits of this feature film available on the Amazon Prime Video service, we find Kevin Hart and Bryan Cranston, who respectively interpret the roles held in the French version by Omar Sy and François Cluzet.
SHE PLAYED TWO ROLES IN KAAMELOTT
It was in 2005 thatAudrey Fleurot is discovered by the general public, with her role as a lawyer in Engrenages but also with Kaamelott. In 30 episodes of the cult series of Alexandre Astier, the actress embodies the character of The Lady of the Lake, responsible for entrusting the quest for the Grail to King Arthur.
Audrey Fleurot, who will find La Dame du Lac in the feature film Kaamelott, in theaters on July 21, has also played another character in the series: that of the governess Angharad in the pilot episode The Romance of Perceval (the character will then be played by Vanessa Guedj).
SHE DOUBLED THE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE OF HER
In the original version of Spike Jonze’s feature film Her, theatrically released in 2014, Scarlett Johansson lends her voice to Samantha, the Artificial Intelligence who accompanies Theodore (Joaquin Phoenix) ‘s daily life. In the French version, it is Audrey Fleurot that lends itself to exercise.
Her was the second experience in the field of dubbing for Audrey Fleurot. A few years earlier, the actress had been the French voice of Maggie Q and her character Zhen in Mission: Impossible III.
SHE PLAYED IN AN ANIMATED PIXAR FILM
Yes Audrey Fleurot has double experience in live dubbing with Mission: Impossible III and Her, she also illustrated herself at the microphone for an animated film. It was in 2019, for Pixar Studios’ Toy Story 4, which sees the actress lend her voice to the shepherdess. A character she evokes in the player below.
