Atlanta Falcons become first NFL team to be 100 per cent vaccinated
Monday’s announcement by the Atlanta Falcons made it clear that all team members have been vaccinated against Covid-19. This makes them the first NFL team to be fully inoculated.
The team stated that players could no longer wear masks or undergo daily tests after close contact with positive people.
WSB-TV first reported the development.
Nearly a month ago, the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell had warned non-vaccinated teams that they could lose games that were rescheduled or cancelled because of outbreaks.
In a memo to both teams, Goodell stated that players on each team wouldn’t be paid for these games.
According to NBC Sports, Saturday’s vaccination rates had been topped by all 32 league teams. 15 teams were at 95 per cent.
