On Wednesday, May 19, AlloCiné was at Mk2 Hotel Paradiso to attend the premiere of Army of the Dead, Zack Snyder’s new film. Unleashed zombies, spurts of hemoglobin and delighted fans, we make you relive the evening.
How to organize a preview with the current sanitary conditions? Netflix found the solution by requisitioning Mk2’s very recent Hotel Paradiso for an evening. A few days earlier, fans had tried their luck via a competition game to be able to discover Zack Snyder’s latest film before everyone else and comfortably lying in their room. AlloCiné was also able to tread the infested corridors of the hotel… and came out alive!
It must be said that Netflix has made every effort to decorate the hotel in the colors of the film: from (fake) tickets to the heavy tokens littering the ground, including slot machines and other games of chance, everything is done to ensure that ‘we think we are in Las Vegas (where the action takes place).
But who says Army of the Dead says … zombies! Watch out if you dare to get lost in the hallways! In addition to the zombified doorman at the entrance of the hotel, we also met three disguised extras who threatened to bite us. And to escape, you have to get around the arms, hands and the remains of brains scattered all over the stairs.
And the show did not stop there since the fans also received the visit, in front of their door, of an undead lookalike of Elvis, come to sing the best titles of the King. Something to get in the mood before the launch of the film at 9 p.m. …
At 9 p.m., it’s popcorn in hand that the evening guests were able to discover on the big screen of their Army of the Dead room. Two and a half hours of action we debrief you right here.
