Only two weeks after announcing to withdraw from Jennifer Lopez’s next romantic comedy, Shotgun Wedding, which was due to be filmed soon in the Dominican Republic, Armie Hammer continues to be in turmoil. Variety has just revealed that the actor was no longer part of the cast of The Offer, the next series of the American platform Paramount +.

This 10-episode miniseries, written and produced by Michael Tolkin (The Player, Escape at Dannemora), takes a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Francis Ford Coppola’s classic cinematography The Godfather with a focus on the story of Albert S. Ruddy, producer of the film. Armie Hammer was chosen to play this 90-year-old man of cinema. For now, he has not officially communicated on this news.

It has been several weeks since the actor discovered in The Social Network is at the heart of a sex scandal. An anonymous account, dubbed “House of Effie,” leaked screenshots of messages, supposedly sent by Armie Hammer, in which he evokes fantasies of rape, vampirism and even cannibalism. Since then, several of his ex-companions have revealed that the actor is fond of BDSM. Paige Lorenze, who shared her life for 4 months, revealed to the Sun a few days ago he was “obsessed with blood, bones and veins”.

Armie Hammer will soon star in the thriller The Billion Dollar Spy alongside Mads Mikkelsen and the highly anticipated sequel to Call Me By Your Name.
