For “One in the other”, broadcast this Thursday evening on TF1 and which is in line with body swap films, the director Bruno Chiche was inspired by a successful American comedy.

The feature film One in the other, broadcast this Thursday evening on TF1, tells the story of two lovers, played by Louise Bourgoin and Stéphane De Groodt, who each wake up in the body of the other. A body swap, therefore, a narrative device with certain comic potential, used several times in the cinema.

For his feature film, director Bruno Chiche had a very specific reference in mind. “Freaky Friday inspired me the most”, he says. “It is the story of a mother who does not understand her daughter and finds herself in the body of this teenager whom she cannot stand. And she will understand what is going on inside her … “

“With us, the problem is different, it is about a man who does not understand the decisions of his mistress. At the beginning of the film, they are separating even if he finds it ridiculous”, continues the filmmaker. “And it’s true that like Freaky Friday, it’s the tile: it will end up in the body of his mistress … Will he get something out of it?”

Freaky Friday As My Mother, released in theaters in 2003, stars Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan. This Disney production, an adaptation of the 1976 film starring Jodie Foster, was a big hit at the global box office, garnering more than $ 160 million in revenue. It tells the story of a mother and a daughter who do not get along. One Thursday, their resentment breaks out. On Friday, they each find themselves in the other’s body …
