The world is getting more and more comfortable with the idea that therapy is for everyone, and not sure for people who have “problems” or are some kind of danger to themselves or others. We’re accepting that most of us have things we need to talk out, and everyone needs some support now and then.

Repeat that as often as necessary.
But adults can certainly do some digging, too.
We all need to hear that sometimes.
I definitely did.
Even if it’s not very good.
You can’t expect them to stay in yours for as long or in the way that you’d like.
They probably always will be.
Recognize your trauma along with everyone else’s.
We know it’s possible.
Tell yourself the truth, and look yourself in the eye.
I don’t think there’s a harder lesson in the world.
So just have faith that you are enough.
I can’t imagine anyone not loving it.
Not in the strictest sense, anyway.
We’ve just all been afraid to talk about it until now.
And I don’t annoy myself most of the time.
